Compromise Agreements Between Two Parties
A few months back a guy I worked with who I won’t name went in for a meeting with their manager. At that point they disappeared only to return almost a week later at the same time as the HR department arrived. At the time it all seemed to be strange but it eventually became clear that while he was about to leave they were in fact negotiating a compromise agreement.
After the meeting he came back into the office to clear his desk but said nothing about why he was going which to me was a big surprise and again this didn’t make sense. With that he left and never returned. While all seeming strange it is in fact not at all. They must have signed a compromise agreement which in many cases includes conditions that neither parties comment on the situation or say anything derogatory about the other party. Now it was beginning to make sense.
It is now clear that the guy I worked with and the company had worked out a compromise agreement which meant that he left with a compromise agreement settlement which is basically a full and final redundancy with both sides signing to say that is it finished. The employee cannot take it any further and simply walk away looking to the future. The employee should have contacted Employment solicitors Leicester to get some help.
